Pretty intense.
Monday… Shopping with mommy!
Tuesday… Took my cousin to the bank and did more shopping! Finished wrapping presents because I lagged on that.
Wednesday… I drove down to Bellflower to give out some gifts for John, Jess, and Charles. HAHA I had fun wrapping their gifts actually. I wrapped John and Charles’ gifts in wrapping paper, then wrapped it with clear tape sealing the whole thing and wrapped it one more time with wrapping paper. I then stuffed it in a bag and duct taped the whole bag shut and decorated it. HAHA Took a while, but I had a good laugh. Hope you all enjoyed your gifts! (:
Thursday… Me, Charles, Cha, Brian, Eric, Evan, Asher and Alwyn went go karting at K1 in Anaheim. I swear, going with the guys is a hazard… It was actually my first time go karting which explained why I drove like a snail but it didn’t stop them from bumping into me like five million times. Haha So at one of the sharp turns, someone decides to bump me from behind and I hit the wall. The whiplash was pretty bad. I was just left with a big fat headache. We all finished and decided to go to Downtown Disney to take a stroll. Got hungry and left. Ate at Albert’s in Bellflower. While we were there, Charles pointed out a red mark on my neck. Thought about it a little and said it was from the seat belt and ignored it the rest of the night.
Friday… I woke up feeling like I had been beat during my sleep. My whole body was aching, so I rolled onto my left side. Turns out I got a bruise on my back from go karting. Got dressed to go to the post office. It was like 70 degrees outside and I was layering clothes on like a snow storm was about to hit, but it was still cold. Obviously something was wrong with me. Turns out I got a fever. So we get to the post office and the guy working at the passport counter says that anyone younger than 16 needs to have their birth certificate with them too. I asked him if I needed mine as well because I’m 19 and he said yes. Mommy didn’t have it so we both went home to look for it. Took a while for her to find it so I went back to pick up them three at the post office. We then went to Costco to take our pictures because mine and my sisters were too old to be used. I like how my picture turned out. I was really happy with it. My mom finds the birth certificate so we head back. When we get there, the guy checks our papers and says that my birth certificate was too old so I would have to order a newer copy of my birth certificate. My siblings were able to complete their renewal process except for me. All of this didn’t stop me from going to youth; pain and all. Last youth meeting of 2011. It was fun. Got home at 11 and asked mommy to give me a whole body massage because I was hurting that much. Then I knocked out.
Saturday… The phone rings, mom comes walking into my room to get change because the post office man called and said that I didn’t need my birth certificate with me. I woke up with my throat feelings worse, but my body slightly healed. Looked into the mirror and there appears a bruise two inches away from the red mark on my neck. For sure it was from the seat belt. We arrive at the post office with everything ready to go and the lady working at the counter opens the photo thing I took at Costco and goes, “Oh no, this won’t work. Your smile is TOO big. You have to retake it.”(Emphasis on the TOO.) I’m standing there beginning to feel all insecure and what not because of the way she said it and then she goes, “Yeah, it’s a rule they made 3 months ago. If you smile, you can’t show so much teeth. You can smile with your mouth closed or with it slightly open.” I liked that picture too! So I went back to Costco and told the guy my situation and he responds with, “Yeah, someone came back yesterday because they said the post office wouldn’t take her picture because she was wearing glasses in her picture.” Had some crazy conversation about how the people who work there are super picky then got my pictures retaken. In all my pictures, I don’t think I’ve ever smiled with my mouth closed before so it was kind of awkward for me. In this second pair I took, I look like I just got out of bed; dead tired and not wanting to be there. 1. Because I was sick. 2. Because this new rule is stupid. ANYWHO, the lady finally accepted my picture. Spent the evening with family and then came home. Spent the rest of the night at home because mother didn’t want me leaving the house in this physical state.
The end. Drastic week, but fun. Interesting way to end 2011.
